Una vez más, los iconos holandeses del thrash LEGION OF THE DAMNED descargan odio e ira en sus notables profundidades de black y death metal, lanzando otro demonio inigualable con el próximo álbum, The Poison Chalice, que saldrá el 26 de mayo de 2023 vía Napalm Records. Rodeados de oscuridad y almas torturadas, ¡los demoníacos bajos fondos están listos para comer!
Con el tema "The Poison Chalice", LEGION OF THE DAMNED abrazan a la Bestia con un lyric video oficial. Por primera vez en un álbum de estudio, la banda se presenta como un quinteto y lleva sus agresivos y brutalmente ennegrecidos paisajes sonoros a un nivel superior, cerrando el álbum con un tema que rompe el acero.

"El tema del título "The Poison Chalice" alaba los peligrosos frutos del camino de la izquierda y es directamente pesado y furioso Death Thrash".
Fundada en 1990 como Occult, la máquina de thrash en torno a los miembros fundadores Maurice Swinkels y Erik Fleuren renació como LEGION OF THE DAMNED en 2005. Conquistando las listas europeas durante décadas, la LEGIÓN se coronó en el # 17 en las listas oficiales de álbumes alemanes con el predecesor Slaves Of The Shadow Realms (2019).
Durante casi 35 años, han formado su agresivo sonido característico a partir de los ingredientes más horribles del thrash y el death metal, combinados con brutales influencias blackened, dando como resultado uno de los sonidos más definidos y únicos de la escena. En The Poison Chalice, la banda se une con Fabian Verweij como segundo guitarrista además de Twan van Geel y conquista el infierno junto con el bajista Harold Gielen.
